Everyone has always said that Kaitlin likes dogs more than people. She doesn’t disagree. After college, having been without a dog for four whole years, Kaitlin really wanted one to call her own but knew it wasn’t the right time.
What to do? She decided to foster dogs. It’s not an easy job but it’s one she’s grown to love. Most of the dogs that pass through her door come with nothing. No favorite toys, no bones, and certainly no comfy beds to curl up on. That’s when Kaitlin set out to make dog beds. Very special dogs need very special beds….
Handmade dog beds made out of suitcases….!? That’s exactly what Kaitlin thought. What a great idea! How fun! Sure, she could have thrown an old blanket over an old pillow and thrown it in a suitcase but what fun would that have been? She wanted a unique, one of kind, eye-catching dog bed that was also useful and utilitarian. Something both dog and dog-owner would enjoy!
So, she set off the to the craft store, pillaged her house, rummaged through her mother’s garage and set to work. Now every dog that comes into her home has a warm comfy place curl up. She hasn’t looked back since.
This endeavor is for all the homeless canines looking for a little love & compassion. A portion of the proceeds of every item will be donated to a canine rescue group.
